It includes physical, biological and sometimes chemical processes to remove pollutants. Its aim is to produce an environmentally safe sewage water, called effluent, and a solid waste, called sludge or biosolids, suitable for disposal or reuse. Reuse is often for agricultural purposes, but more recently, sludge is being used as a fuel source.

Conventional STP (MBBR/SBR)

In the conventional STP we are providing both in MBBR & SBR process. First, with conventional sewage treatment plant the solids are separated from the wastewater stream. Then dissolved biological matter is progressively converted into a solid mass by using indigenous, water-borne micro-organisms. Finally, the biological solids are neutralized then disposed of or re-used, and the treated water may be disinfected chemically or physically (for example by lagoons and microfiltration). In this conventional STP mostly part of the STP will be constructed in civil which requires more manpower. Water will get treated in to three stages i.e. primary, secondary & tertiary.The output water norms from the package STP and conventional STP are same.

The final effluent can be discharged into a stream, river, bay, lagoon or wetland, or it can be used for the irrigation of a golf course, green way or park. If it is sufficiently clean, it can also be used for groundwater recharge or agricultural purposes.

Nisarguna Technology

NISARGUNA is the technology developed by Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. This technology is mainly designed to handle & process the biodegradable waste that generated from kitchen, industries agro-waste, & biomass in a decentralized manner. This plant can be installed for handling 1to 25MT of segregated waste water per day.

ESTPL is technology licensee of NISARGRUNA Biogas plant a technology developed by BARC.

Insitu Nallah Treatment

Ecological Treatment System

On-site Engineered Wetland based Natural Treatment System (NTS) for In-situ nallah water (drain water) treatment. The NTS is a modular system that can be constructed beside the drain occupying minimum space and providing low cost efficient treatment. The NTS is engineered ecosystem with plants and microbial culture as active biological component and stone aggregate filter media that acts as a passive physical support for the ecosystem. The active biological and passive physical components degrade pollutants and uptake nutrients in wastewater. Each system can be tailored to specific case designed to withstand extreme fluctuation, and to last. The main objective of NTS is to provide a simple, feasible, practically sound, eco-friendly, maintenance free and cost-effective solution, which can handle the magnitude of sewage flowing through drains and treatment leading to pollution control.

Composter

Rapid Aerobic Composter is scalable from household to community to small town. Aeration systems provide no foul smell operation. No vector nuisance while allowing free aeration. Accepts almost all biodegradable waste dry or wet. Specialized microbial culture makes operation rapid thereby reducing footprint. A very dry, light, and odourless compost excellent as soil conditioner is obtained. No specific skills are required for operation and maintenance. Designed and operated in such a way that the variation in the total composting time can be easily adjusted

Functioning of composter:

Household biodegradable waste is to be fed to the composter in batches at different times
Feeding is to be continued for 8-10 days and periodically a specialized microbial culture is to be added (the culture shall be supplied by the technology provider)
At the end of 10 days the composted mass is to be transferred to maturation section. This may not take more than 5-10 minutes
Once the composter is empty feeding can be started again.
Compost shall be matured in next 15-18 days and is ready for use.
